Our History

HIDRACAR, S.A. was created in 1974 by its present manager Manuel CARCARE GIMENO, a technical mechanical engineer who had worked in the oleohydraulic sector for 5 years. The purpose of the company was, at that time, to import hydropneumatic accumulators to Spain.

 

Some time after we were in the commercial business, we detected the need in the market of special oleohydraulic apparatus which, at that time, were difficult to obtain.

 

This observation and the fact of having some troubles with the supplier abroad were the reasons that pushed us to design and manufacture different types of apparatus, among them a shock absorber which incorporated -as an integrated element- a bladder hydropneumatic accumulator.

This design which, turned out to be a success due to its good working operation, was followed by an oleopneumatic tensioner for the automatic conveyor belts tightening.

 

In line with these projects, we set to manufacture the first rubber bladders for the pulsation dampers in our workshop with our own vulcanisation presses.Around 1985 we developed our first oleohydraulic starter to start diesel engines. We have been improving this starter up to our present, simple and reliable design. In these apparatus, the fundamental piece was -and keeps being- an oleohydraulic accumulator.

 

During the period when we went from being a trading importer company to a manufacturer of the mentioned products, we have made many proofs and tests to improve the design and the quality of the rubber bladder of our pulsation dampers.We therefore built up a testing bench where the dampers are submitted to working cycles at extreme conditions; we also contacted an official testing laboratory to develop high feature rubber formulations.

 

For more than 10 years, we have been manufacturing PTFE and TFM membrane and bellows pulsation dampers for applications in the chemical industry.  The quality of our dampener and the goods service to our customers has placed us at the same level as the international companies of this activity. And proof of that are our pulsation dampers and oleohydraulic starters exports to more than 30 countries.
