Oleopneumatic Acumulators

OLEOPNEUMATIC ACCUMULATORS

The oleopneumatic accumulators are used for several applications:

- Storing energy
- Shock absorber
- Water hammer dampening
- To transfer pressure between two different fluids.
- Pulsation damper
- To keep the pressure in a circuit with leakages
- Compensation for volume variation due to thermal dilatation of the fluids
- Others

The oleopneumatic accumulators are used in hydraulic applications in all types of industrial sectors, agriculture, chemistry, transports, energy…

There are two different accumulator types: bladder and piston. We recommend to you use a piston type in the following cases:

- In applications where the eventual sudden and total failure of the bladder discharging could be dangerous or operationally unacceptable due to the leakage of gas into the systems.
- When you need the low pressure differential obtained form multiple back-up bottles.
- When you need high flow rate with minimum pressure drop.
- When the units is repeatedly completely discharged.
- When the maximum working pressure is more than 3 times of the pre-charge pressure.
